Luma Ray 2 is a text-to-video model with simple, flat pricing. In our platform, it supports:
- Text-to-video — Generate video from prompts (no image required)
- 5 or 9 seconds — Short clips
- 720p resolution
- 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 aspect ratios
- Loop option — Seamless looping for GIF-like output
- Flat per-video cost — Same credits for 5s or 9s

Prompt Guidelines
Do
- Describe smooth, continuous motion — Good for looping
- Specify style — “soft focus,” “dreamy,” “minimal”
- Keep action within frame — Loops work best without hard cuts
- Consider cyclic motion — “clouds drift,” “water ripples”
Avoid
- Abrupt starts/stops if using loop
- Complex multi-beat actions that don’t loop well
- Conflicting motion directions
Tips & Tricks
- Prefer 9s over 5s — Same price; more content.
- Enable loop for backgrounds — Looping clips for web, UIs, ads.
- Cyclic motion — “waves,” “swirling,” “floating” loop naturally.
- One clear subject — Simpler scenes loop more cleanly.
- 9:16 for Stories — Portrait fits mobile feeds.
